Enables you to use powered speakers with your bhi ParaProEQ20 unit without damaging the class "D" amplifier
LLC1-M - Mono line level converter unit. Enables you to use powered speakers with your bhi ParaProEQ20 unit without damaging the class "D" amplifier stage or as an isolated attenuator pad on the input of the EQ20 unit.
The bhi EQ20 uses a class “D” amplifier for efficiency and to reduce the need for heavy metal heatsinking. The only down side is that grounds or speaker outputs cannot be connected together as this may cause damage to the amplifier chip, which means that powered speakers cannot connected directly to the speaker outputs of the EQ20.
The bhi Line Level Converter LLC1-M converts the speaker level audio output of your bhi ParaPro EQ20 audio DSP unit to an isolated RCA line-level audio signal. This isolates the class “D” amplifier stage from the line level output connection enabling powered speakers, an amplifier or a recording device to be used with the bhi EQ20 unit. The LLC1 can handle the output from class “D” amplifiers designed for driving up to 10 watts into a standard 4Ω or 8Ω speaker.
Connections:
The LLC1-M has an audio lead with 2 x RCA phono plugs at one end for connection to the bhi EQ20 unit, and a stereo 3.5mm (1/8”) socket at the other end for the connection to powered speakers, an amplifier or a recording device.
Operation:
Connect the phono leads on the LLC1-M line level converter unit to the phono connections on the rear of your EQ20 unit. Connect your powered speaker, amplifier or recording device to the 3.5mm stereo audio socket on the other end of the LLC1-M unit. The line level output can be adjusted using the volume level control on the EQ20 unit.
