The new improved bhi NCH wired active noise cancelling headphones (ANC) effectively reduce external ambient background noise, enabling you to concentrate more and enjoy your listening experience when in a noisy environment. The over-ear style NCH headphones also give good passive audio isolation from external noise.
Using your headphones
They are an excellent choice for those wanting to reduce aircraft cabin noise, air conditioning noise, train noise, ambient background noise and similar types of continuous environmental noise. The adjustable headband and soft over-ear pads make sure that the headphones are a comfortable fit. The NCH headphones require one AAA alkaline battery (supplied), and the active noise cancellation can be easily switched on and off with a simple switch; a green LED indicates whether it is active or not. If your headphone socket is 1/4" (6.35mm), then you will need to use an audio adapter like our ADP-P007 (not supplied).
Active noise cancellation
The bhi wired NCH headphones do not work like our other DSP noise cancelling products but use active noise-cancelling technology (ANC) to reduce distracting background noise, providing a comfortable and restful listening environment in areas with high ambient noise. The NCH noise-cancelling headphones feature a miniature microphone in the earpiece that picks up ambient noise (like traffic noise and aircraft cabin noise). The electronics in the earpiece invert the ambient noise by 180° out of phase with the external ambient noise. This has the effect of cancelling out the annoying ambient noise without diminishing the audio you are listening to, resulting in a much-improved listening experience.

The ANC in these headphones reduces ambient noise by around 12–15 dB, making them perfect for reducing background noise from sources such as air conditioning, planes, and environmental noise.
How long does the battery last?
A single AAA battery (included) powers the ANC function for approximately 45 hours.
Can I use them without ANC?
Yes. With ANC turned off, they still serve as good over‑ear wired headphones with passive noise isolation.
Do they have any in-line controls or a microphone?
No. They feature a simple on/off ANC switch and an LED indicator, but don't have volume control, playback buttons, or a built-in microphone.
Do they work wirelessly or via Bluetooth?
No, they come with an integral cable 1.25 m long, terminated with a 3.5mm stereo plug
Are they comfortable for long flights or sessions?
Yes. They’re lightweight (190 g) with soft ear pads and an adjustable headband, fitting well for long listening sessions.
What devices can I use them with?

Can I switch ANC off when I don’t need it?
Yes — the ANC has an on/off switch, so you can easily disable it if you don’t want noise cancellation.

Do these use the same DSP technology as other bhi products?
No, they use active noise cancelling (ANC) with microphones and phase inversion rather than bhi’s separate DSP noise cancelling.
