The bhi LLC1 is a stereo line level converter that transforms speaker-level audio output from the bhi ParaProEQ20 DSP range of products into isolated RCA line-level signals, enabling safe connection to powered speakers and/or recording devices, without risking damage to the class D amplifier. Doubles up as an audio attenuator which transforms high-level audio signals from transceivers and receivers into manageable low-level outputs.

The LLC1 is an essential bridge between the bhi ParaProEQ20's class D amplifier and various audio output devices. By providing electrical isolation, it protects the sensitive amplifier circuitry while maintaining signal integrity. This conversion capability eliminates the traditional limitation of class D amplifiers, where connecting grounds or speaker outputs directly could potentially cause damage to the amplifier chip.

Connections

The LLC1 has an audio lead with 2 x RCA phono plugs at one end for connection to the bhi EQ20 unit, and a stereo 3.5mm (1/8”) socket at the other end for the connection to powered speakers, an amplifier or a recording device.

Operation

Connect the phono leads on the LLC1 line level converter unit to the phono connections on the rear of your EQ20 unit. Connect your powered speaker, amplifier or recording device to the 3.5mm stereo audio socket on the other end of the LLC1 unit. The line level output can be adjusted using the volume level control on the EQ20 unit.
